Wow! Where has time gone? We literally have not thought or mentioned our wonderful BLOG in weeks.
I hope Thanksgiving was refreshing for everyone. The students and I have much to cover in the next few weeks before Christmas break.
Week 16 Schedule
World History 1st period and Civics 5th period
JUNA, JUNA, JUNA, JUNA, JUNA, and I must stress JUNA!!! I would like for the delegates to keep up to date with current events. Parents, please encourage them to watch some news each night, or check out the news online. The more the better prepared and informed they will be at the assembly. We have chosen resolutions.....United Kingdom is researching child mortality, and France is researching children in armed conflict. In the meantime, we must: write the 3 minute speech that explains and defends our resolution, write a 30 second welcome speech and learn the native language (French and English, of course), create a display board, make a 9x11 flat, make a placard with our nation's name, design and acquire costumes...the UK is done, choose a charity and write a mini-grant for that charity, write a 1 minute summary, and research the other 39 resolutions that will be presented at 2012 JUNA. I told you....JUNA, JUNA, JUNA, JUNA! Their grade is based on class participation, time on task, contributions to the completition of each JUNA task, and final product.
